First Year Experience

Our goal is simple— to help you make the most of your time at NKU by providing you with an enhanced educational experience. And, we do mean experience! As you’ll see, your time in the Honors College extends well beyond the classroom.

You will receive support as soon as you begin your journey with the Honors College at NKU. Our First Year Experience program is specifically designed to put you on the path to academic and professional success! We have developed a yearlong experience that will introduce you to honors learning, provide you with multiple levels of personal and professional support, connect you to regional and community opportunities, help you develop valuable lifelong professional skills, and make your transition to NKU as enjoyable and enriching as possible.

Our honors team extends well beyond the faculty members teaching your introductory honors course. We have an entire community of faculty, staff, student ambassadors, and alumni who are here to assist you and help you succeed!
